Subject: RE: Kicker Performance

I had an 1850 Fishawk with a 150 Vmax on it, T-8 kicker. Kicker can handle that boat fine. The T-8 had the high thrust prop on it and I could get it up to 5-5.5mph. I would get a kicker even if I had a 4 stroke main engine. I fish big water a lot. Having a kicker is invaluable. Your main engine craps out, you’ve got a way to get home as your electric won’t get you very far in big wind/water. Also, I used my kicker a LOT in big wind to keep the boat positioned into the wind while using my electric to move me along. I wouldn’t want to run my main engine all the time to do that….. my .02$
