I have a 16.5' Javelin, needed a new motor and so I got a 55# powerdrive. Wasn't enough, so I traded up for the 70# and that did the trick. Never a problem even in the toughest winds, never a problem running all day in tough winds, always had plenty of battery left. Spend the extra $$ -- you will not be disappointed no matter what the conditions.
