ok, here goes.

I have a 17 ft MirroCraft Agressor XL single console) w/115 Mariner (90 etec next year)
I carry three batteries, 1 cranking, 1 12 volt for the trolling motor and a slightly smaller 12 volt for the locator.

The old trolling motor was a 44lb thrust, cable driven (hated standing with one foot elevated all the time) Cannot do that anymore due to health issues. (This unit worked very well as far as moving the boat)
I want, auto pilot, wireless footpetal, co-pilot, universal sonar. have looked into a 12 volt 55pd Power Drive and a Terrova, Can't decide???
Have also thought about moving up to a 24 volt, if I did that would I have to make both batteries identical in size and displacement, or can I use them as is? The current batteries are charged by an onboard charger.
