Location: Eagle River, WI | There's no way you could ever get me to trade my diesel for any gas engine. You'll be lucky to pull 10 mpg with that 6.0, and that's assuming your running the standard 4.10:1 gear ratio. If you are running the 3.73:1 you'll probably be even worse.
If you need to up your fuel mileage on your deisel there are a bunch of different things that you can do. I have a 2007 dodge ram 2500 with the 5.9 cummins common rail in it and I'm getting 22-24 hwy on the trip computer. Now pulling my 1850 crestliner I'm getting like 15-19 depending how hard I'm pushin' it.
I'm running the standard exhaust but I put in a Edge programmable controller that I have set at 75 more HP, and I am also running a K&N cold charger kit. I'm also rolling around on 35-12.50 coopers.
Just my opinion but I would never trade in a diesel for a gas any day. |
