Location: Stevens Point, WI		A 12 volt system will work just fine. I ran a 30lb. model for years on boat of that size and weight and fished all day with a fully charged 31 series battery. Your boat is very light and won't take much effort to move. I think a 24 volt system would be total overkill in my opinion.
