Optimas are great from the standpoint that they are more durable, resistant to vibration and can sit for long periods without recharging, I love them.

I agree Optima's are really great batteries. However, no lead-acid battery, including Optima "spiral wound technology" can sit for a long periods of time in a discharge state without recharge. If you're not recharging your batteries as soon as possible, you are causing damage.... You will eventually pay for not recharging in a reasonable time! A couple of days- OK. Weeks-not OK! But, it's your money, not mine.
