Try setting the console unit on manual, and set the senstivity to the minimum the unit will dispaly clearly. Also, set the Noise Reject on high. May help clear things up.

The front sonar needs to be clear for you, so use the noise reject to see if it helps with the other sonar's signal crossover.

If you are over soft bottom, much of both unit's signal is absorbed, VS hard bottom where both are reflected back to the surface. Could explain why the interference is different on varied waters.
