another thing to note at least in my local area is that the quality of fuels is going downhill fast and carbeurated units especially smaller carbs are being subjected to the crud that's in these fuels and crystallizing inside jets causing nightmares for operation of things like 4-wheelers, snowmobiles, ice augers etc... any new purchases should definitely consider this vs. the efi's that won't be prone to the effects so much.

a friend of mine owns minocqua yamaha and they've noticed a definite change in fuel-related carb issues during the past 6 months.
