I am not handy at all but my friend helped me replace all of the lower unit seals and it was very basic - even for me. I was quoted a ridiculous price to fix it and it only cost me about 40 dollars to do it myself. There will be seals at the prop and the top end of the lower unit. It took us about 3 hours because we worked cautiously and had a few beers too. Getting the old seals out and the lower unit back on was the only slightly tricky part. Get a manual. Mine never leaked again.
