| I honestly don't know the answer to this, even though I do believe I think I know the answer, but I'll ask those that know more than me to either confirm or deny my thinking:
Is it possible to have an existing trailer that is currently NOT a swing-away tongue, converted into one that could have a swing-away tongue?
My thinking is that "no," it's not the smartest, safest, wisest thing to do due to the structural integrity of the trailer being compromised since it was not intended for that from the beginning at the factory.
We just bought a new house with a garage that is just sooooooo dang close to allowing me to get my boat in there for winter storage, but yet.....I'm just a wee bit shy of it fitting due to the current trailer set up that I have now: 1997 Trailmaster trailer.
There are things I can do within my garage to get my boat to fit...but..it'd take some work and it may or may not be worth the effort, I just don't know.
Right now I'm wishing/dreaming I had a trailer with a swing-away tongue and got to wondering if it's possible to take my someplace to have it converted into a swing-away tongue. | |
