Tried it with both Win XP and Linux, with the Web installer and download/local install. None of those four scenarios work the way the instructions say.

Got this email from Lowrance:

"If you have already updated your LGC-2000 with version 1.9.0, then you would just need to place the .bin and .ldr files on the card and then insert that into your unit and your unit should automatically start the download without you having to do anything. You should see a white progress bar go across the screen and start uploading the files."

It's the "..your unit should automatically start the download without you having to do anything" part that doesn't work. My unit powers up normally with the MMC in the slot, no progress bar or anything. I don't get it.
