I just noticed tonight that I had no water coming out of the water pump indicator hole on the back of the motor. I have been trolling the last few nights and I must admit I never checked to see if water was coming out, but the motor has been running fine. I shut it down tonight when I noticed the problem so I wouldn't overheat. I couldn't find any obvious blockage tonight but it was dark. Does anyone know of a test I can run to check if the pump is shot or should I just take it to a pro as soon as possible? It is a 2000 50 hr. 4 stroke and has run like a charm so far. Thanks for any advice.
