Location: Minneapolis		I prefer a tiller for the added floor space and more precise trolling. In a 16' boat, I'll stick with a tiller.

If you really want a console, and have the space for it in your garage, I think you'll be happier with a 17'. You shouldn't have to spend much more (maybe less) than the Lund you're looking at.
