Call Justin Gaiche, and see what performance he is getting. He has an 1890 with a 150 Opti on it. I've heard no negatives from him. It's the GC version, so it doesn't have the fiberglass cap on it, nor the full windshield. It probably weighs a couple hundred pounds less than the boat you are looking at. The 4 strokes will have a slower time to plane than the comparable HP DI's, and a bit less top end, in most applications. Verado's are the exception, because of the supercharger.
