Subject: Trolling Motor Problem

Location: SW MI		I have an OMC trolling motor that came with my boat last year when I bought it. My boat is a 1996 so I'm assuming the trolling motor is too. The motor worked fine until I bought a new deep cycle battery for it and now it won't work at all. I don't know much about working on these motors so if anyone can tell me some things to try that'd be great. Has anyone else had problems like this? Should I look for a new motor or can this one be salvaged? Thanks
