Color units? If so, they can drain a battery down pretty good while the motor is not running. I'm gonna assume the battery is OK (may not be, but for the sake of this discussion we'll say it is). Do you have GPS with these units? I know with my Lowrances, I used to have a similar problem ... did a little digging and found out the GPS puck is always taking juice from the battery, wheter in use or not. Put an in-line switch (power interrupter) on the leads from the GPS, problem solved. Come off the lake, turn switch off, voltage is fine next time out. I would also recommend a dual-purpose battery instead of straight starting, helps a lot. Hope this helps. | |
