| I've got two large screen sonars that are currently hooked up to my starting battery. Are other people seeing a battery drain doing this. I think I may have to go to a dual system, but how are people hooking it up for alternator and on board charger. I have a single onboard charger currently just for the starting battery, do I just hook everything up in parallel and call it good or what.
The motor is a 200 Opti and I'm told that they use a lot of juice both on start up and a lot of thier alternator power while running. Which doesn't leave a lot for recharging the sarting battery.
I'm leaving for LOTW on Friday and don't need to be stranded out in the middle of nowhere. I do carry jumper cables to go from my trolling batteries if needed, but that is an emergency use that does not fix the bigger problem.
