Location: Eau Claire, WI | Mine worked very smooth for about 2 months last summer when I bought it and then I started having the same issue. I have tried slicone spray on the lock mechanism / hinge assy. and nothing has helped yet. Love the unit, sure wish they would make it on a scissors style bracket.
Called Minn-Kota...got the ol' "we never heard of that before" reply, which in part may be true but manufacturers tend to use that as default reply far too often, hence their customer service dept. was less than helpful.
For darn near $1,000 you think it would have worked properly for longer than 2 mos.
