I've owned 2 Vmax's and I have not used anything but Yama-lube for em and every tank of gas gets some ring free additive. Engines both run like raped apes from day one and not a single problem no matter what time of year. Definitely drain oil resevoir before adding a different oil. The different oils contain additives which can coalesce and cause problems...
