Subject: Question on Cleaning a Fiberglass Boat

My Father-in-law just gave me his old fiberglass open-bow tri-hull. I'm not in love with the tri-hull design but you can't complain about something when its free. It had been sitting in the elements for years now and there are little black spots all over the top of the boat. They look like mildew stains. Is there anyway to get these stains out? Also, I will be reupholstering the inside (bow seats/carpet, etc...) and dwant to attempt it myself. Are there any good DIY websites out there? I plan to use wolminized wood and cover the new seating foam with vinyl. I'm guessing I can just staple the vinyl to the back of the wood with galvinized staples. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated. My next big task will be to build a removable casting deck for the bow.
-Thanks
Matt
