| For changing contour lines: hit menu, menu, select screen, go down to the box that says normal or high contrast, hit enter, select night view. Deep water now is horrible, but at least you can see the shallower lines. If you have split screen hit pages 2x to toggle to sonar, hit menu go down to sonar features and go down and select either white background or bottom color tracking so you don't have to have night view on your sonar as well.
hit pages twice to toggle back to the gps side and zoom out, you should see a boxed in area. The area within the box is the section of the chip that is working.
