Well, I picked up my GPS units last night and had a chance to check out all of the different mapping chips. The result was that the 2008 Navionics chip blew every other one away. There are over 480 lakes with contours and high detail showing midlake structure on some of my favorite lakes. The other chips had contours for some of these lakes, but didn't have even close to the same amount of detail. Unfortunately, the navionics chip was the only one not offered by Lowrance for a free chip. This is what I saw, but I'm sure it all depends on what you like.
