| Only one more question from this battery greenhorn....I plan on an agm for the starting battery. Should I do the same for the MinnKota, or stick with a deep cycle? My onboard charger will charge either at the same time. The man on the phone said the dual purpose agm's have thicker plates in them like the deep cycle ones. Are current agm's strong enough to run a t.m. and charge up time and time again? Again, I like the idea of leaving them in the boat over the winter, and a deep cycle would have to come out.
