I email Novionics this is what they said
How do I get my chip to zoom in more than a 1/8 mile. I have a fishelite
480 Eagle.

Right, because without the chip there is not the level of detail there is
with the chip in. This unit can not zoom in closer than 1/8nm as to do this
the unit would have to have the over zoom feature and this one does not.
