Ranger folks are thoughtful enough to provide pvc routing tubes under the decks of your boat so the wiring can be routed easily. As for the transducer? I have a skimmer mounted right of the main motor even with the bottom line of the transom as far from the motor as possible. This provides an excellent reading while fishing, but I occasionally lose depth on plane. If you find a better place to mount that transducer, let me know! I wouldn't even bother mounting a speed wheel.
