when at rest it was listing toward my fat butt...all the weight's on the starboard side in the back corner right now: me, kicker, controls, etc. she's light in the bow right now since there's no trolling motor on it yet and all the storage is empty so she lifts and lists to the back corner a bit.
as soon as you put it into motion it was flat. i'm sure that once i get it loaded with gear, the weight distribution will level out even at rest since the big storage is on the port side.

as for the gunnel cap: taste is subjective. the boats that have the smooth "wall" wrapped all the way to the deck have a nice, clean look to them. i like having the covered shelf in the rear cockpit area for storing my lure retreiver, stern light, planer boards, and the odd bottle of water; i also like being able to hook my toes under the lip of the gunnel cap to keep my balance on the bow when fishing in rough water. 6 of one, half-dozen of the other.
