You can, but I don't rcommend it. Too much chance of getting interference, and poor performance from your sonar. I would power it from the cranking battery. Ideal would be to run the wires all the wat to the battery, but not critical to do so. A lot of boats have a set of wires run from the fuse block to the front, and these would be acceptable. I run mine this way on my 1890 Tuffy.

If your TM is 24V, your batteries are wired in series. If you have to use this source, pick one battery, and wire to it. Do not go across both batteries. That will get you 24V. The drain on one of these batteries is negligent as far as battery life. Keep them charged to full in between outings. Always use a fuse at the bettery end of your power to you accessories.
