got a good start on the rigging this weekend. still need to put the trolling motor on and the transducer, but other than that she's pretty close to being ready for fishing.

took it out this afternoon on a local lake and ran it through the first hour of break-in where you're limited to running in the mid-range rpms.
it runs on plane nicely at 25mph, cruises easily in the mid-30s, and runs 40mph at 3800rpms. i stretched it's legs a bit once the manual said it was ok, and ticked 60mph before running out of lake without breathing hard at 5100rpms (manual says 5750rpms top). once i can get out on the river or a bigger lake i'll be able to try it at WOT and see what she'll do.

i was extremely impressed with how well this boat tracks and cuts the water. even when running mid-50s mph the bow would lift just slightly across boat wakes and then settle immediately back down into running straight and true. it's very maneuverable and responsive, just plain easy to drive...and FUN!

Tuffy hit a home run with this one...be sure to get out for a ride in one.
