OK, an update on this unusual config I suppose. After contacting Humminbird support, I learned that the side imaging transducer isn't meant for speeds above about 5 MPH. A non-side imaging transducer is required for "high speed." There is a high speed option kit that can be purchased which includes a switch, but from talking with support, the new method now is to have a shoot-thru transducer with the side imaging connected with the SIDBY Y cable to the back of the locator. I just picked up the rig last night so I haven't been able to test individual or concurrent Lowrance and Humminbird operation yet.
