| this unit, just like the old x15's have two reds and two blacks. However for the newer units, the module has its own power source and need both of these to be hooked up to a power source. If either one of them is loose your unit powers on and the gps says "module not responding." On the flip side of things, once it is hooked up and the unit is running, be sure to have a switch to turn the power off when not in use. The modules do continue to suck power and "find themselves" even after the unit is disconnected and it can drain your battery | |
