Last season, I hooked up my lcx-15 to a blue plug transducer as a shoot through hull setup. The 15 performed flawlessly at all speeds and depths. This year i upgraded to the lcx-27 and figured I could use the same transducer. The 27 barely reads at all and it loses bottom contact on plane and in deeper water(not real deep, but deep by inland lake standards). I am running software version 2.3 in the 27, and version 1.2 or 1.3 was in the 15. I am wondering why the transducer would work so well with the 15 and not the 27. I am starting to think that these newer lowrance units are not as good as the older ones. I always used lowrance electronics, and I have never had any problems before. I have heard a lot of people were having sofware problems(version 1.7). Have there been any problems with 2.3? Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks
