Subject: Tuffy rail mounts

I'll try to explain this so somebody can understand it.

I have a 1990 or 1991 Tuffy, 18 foot tiller. The side walls are thin fiberglass with a alum cap or trim piece on the top. I'm thinking I need to have some sort of "rail" fabricated that I can bolt thru the side of the boat. I want to use the metal rod holders (salty?) and I need to have a rail to bolt them to. My Ranger has the rail, thats the set up I want to use. I don't like the clamp style.

So does anybody understand what I'm saying? Does it make any sense? Anybody have any idea's?

If you have something that works please post a photo!!
