I'd suggest going with the Universal Sonar. It's a $100 more on both the AP and the Terrova, you can still put the transducer mount on the trolling motor if you decide you want that instead of using the universal sonar. However, it's there if you want it and if you decide to sell the boat and want to keep the electronics, it gives the next guy and easy way to put electronics on the boat.
