I currently don't have a diesel, but several of my friends do and i've had a couple in the past. All have been modified, usually with an intake setup, chip and exhaust. Most get better gas mileage on the freeway once "played" with, but that's relative to the weight of your right foot. My next truck with either be a ford with a 6.0 or a GMC with the 6.6 and it will be getting a chip and exhaust at the bare minimum. I do a lot of tuning/playing with turbo-gas engines, just can't leave anything I own alone....bikes, trucks, cars, boats....none are safe!
