Have trouble believing 28+ MPg even with a chipped diesel. Also if you take into account that a diesel engine is a $5000 to $7000 option, fuel is between 30 and 50 cents per gallon more than gas. Now do the math. You would have to pull that boat ALONG WAYS to make up the difference. Yes the diesels might get better mileage, but if you figure those numbers? Not worth it.To each his own I guess.Some people just feel cool to own a diesel. I wouldn't own one, and I was/am a trained diesel mechanic.
