Hi Guys, wondered if i could get your opinions/ reccomendations on colour finder/GPS units, i have been using an old Eagle unit for 12 years and its time for an upgrade. Very few colour units available in the UK at present so i will probably be getting shipped from the US. Questions...
Are the colour units worth the extra expense and what are their main benefits?

I will need to Make the unit portable as it is necessary to hire boats on many waters here, do the colour units draw a lot more power, need to know i can run for a couple of days off a rechargeable battery unit

Are the models with US maps GPS compatible in the UK? obviously these maps of little use to me but seems difficult to source a unit without.

Here's the big one, make and model reccomendation please, i have been looking at the Humminbird units which seem to offer pretty good value, would prefer a dual beam transducer and quite interested in the barometric pressure add ons but unsure how this works and what the additional expense will be.

Many thanks in advance...Darren.
