Subject: what is alot of hours on a boat?

Maybe a dumb question, but I see these ads for used boats saying "only 100 hours on motor." I tried to figure out if this is alot of not, so assuming that we are talking a 250 hp motor that has 100 hours.. This motor probably averages 40 mph for 100 hours, that is 4000 miles (These boats have a kicker, so the hours are not being put on trolling). Mille Lacs is about 22 miles long, so that is running the length of that lake 181 times, that seems like alot... Am I looking at this wrong???
