Location: Elk River, Minnesota | For the 90 on the side of the engine, there potentially is what looks like tire stem. OMC/Bombardier should still make a fogging product that has the screw-in end.
If your engine has this, screw on the fogging oil, start the engine, and get it running up to temperature (good time to have stabil in the gas and get it running through the engines components...running longer is safer), then keep in idle and follow the directions on the can (I believe 3 2-second squirts) then shut the engine down. Squirt a couple of more seconds in and remove. I always removed each sparkplug and squirted a little in each then rotated the engine a few times to coat the cylinder walls. Reinstall the plugs and your all done with the engine.
And..as mikie stated, drain and refill the lower unit. Saves possibly cracking a seal or lower unit from water.
Lastly, remove the prop, inspect/clean the shaft and relube. Reinstall
For the 6hp, I'd just run the engine out of gas, fog each cylinder, and rotate the engine. change lower unit lube and your done. Good idea to run stabil through before running out the gas just in case some is still in the bowl, although if you open the choke and pull it over, you can get almost all of it.
Once done, you are all set.
