Location: Stevens Point, WI | Rocket, I have actually fished out of one of these one time and had a chance to run around in one this summer working for a marina. Yes, the 617 is basically your mini version of the 619,620, and 621. They discontinued this model because it did not sell good at all from the guys at Heckel's Marina. They are a Ranger dealer so I figured they knew what they were talking about. But honestly, I really did like the layout and overall boat. I think it's way better than a 618 personally but that is me. It's deeper and has a better layout if you ask me. Plus, it was rated for a 150, so that boat could definitely move. I would personally say, this boat you could fish three out of, however, I personally would stick with two in this rig. It gets a little tight if your fishing muskies and three in the boat. Hope this helps. Take a look at the Tuffy 1760, you won't be disappointed!
