Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin		What exactly do you want Merc customer service to say....they can't fix the motor over the phone. All they can advise you do is take it to your mercury servicing dealer.

Yup, if the bulb goes soft or flattens out right away, that's a good place to start. the gas in the tank could have water or other contaminants in it, too. If the motor runs fine at the shop and doesn't on your rig, it's something on your rig, I'd wager.
