I suspect that a darker colored boat (green, grey, brown, blue, etc will be better than white), but don't have much experience with other colors than green verses white. This will probably vary some by lake and fish. I know I don't get many figure-8 fish when I'm south in the winter.

My figure-8 percentage would also be higher if I didn't have a bunch of trolling fish in the count (we don't get many figure-8 fish while trolling). I think I could sort that all out, and see what the casting percentages are, but I'll bet it's close to 25% or so.
