2000 Toyota Tundra.

However, we used to tow it with a Mazda Tribute V6 and it handled it just fine. In fact, it got about the same gas mileage as our Tundra does now.

I think your Envoy XL will do the job and then some. I'm not experienced with the Envoys but just from looking at them on the road they appear to be much larger than our Tribute which handled towing our 1850 Muskie Edition w/ surge breaks really well.
