I have a Crestliner Fish Hawk 1750. It's rated for 125HP. I wanted an Optimax engine, but could not get the Opti 135 (HP limit on the boat).

However, the Opti 115 that I did have rigged on the boat is a great motor, and I get 41 MPH when the boat is run flat out. Could have gotten a larger motor (the 125), but would not have had an Opti.

Consider getting a hydrofoil installed on your motor. I have had the Stingray on both of my boats' main motors, and they really work well with getting onto plane quickly and efficiently.

Choices, choices, choices.
