I wanted to revive this one to see if anyone else had thoughts on the subject. I'm not sure when to be concerned about hours on a motor. I have no idea how many mine has but it's an old 50 that's been around the block but still runs well. As I poke around for a new boat, I'd like to be informed as to what the number means. I understand that 50,000 hours by grandpa is probably not as bad as the same time in by fast eddy but is there a line that you guys won't consider crossing when you don't really know the history of the boat/motor?
