Just had the same problem with the same make and model motor. Pull the prop and see if you have fishing line in it. I pulled the line and noticed a small looking cut in the seal, when I took it in there was about 3/8" of line sucked in that broke the seal and allowed water in. Even though there was only about a table spoon of water it was enough to mess things up. The seals are cheap and a good mechanic will have it fixed in less than an hour.
