Location: north central wisconsin		2.25 is as slow as I'd ever need to go, and most of the time 2.5 is waaay slow enough. The merc will drop to about 2.47 but spits and sputters and just seems to run better at about a grand and 2.8+. Don't like the noise either. I have been used to a quiet motor for years, and would like one for this boat too. How about Suzuki?? Any differences in power between 4 strokes out there?
