C.Painter, Lowrance does not make a mount that puts the puck right behind the unit. I believe this is a RAM base. Lowrance does not recommend putting the puck closer that 18" from the unit. Also with that mount and the unit tilted back you would be shooting yout satalite signal right through your unit. Some puck/unit combinations will work with the puck closer and some won't.
