Location: Brookfield, WI | but is it practical? I do a lot of driving around for my business and consequently see quite a few boats for sale on the side of the road. My wife is probably not quite ready to let me buy a boat after just one year of fishing, but I'm always on the lookout.
I drove by one yesterday that really caught my eye and would like a few opinions from those of you with more experience. This baby is a real looker but I'm afraid it might be too much boat for a newbie like me. At a glance it seems to have all the characteristics I might want.
It has a center console. After driving Slamr's and Joel's console boats a little bit (emphasis on little) I'm convinced when the time comes I want a boat with a console.
Its design makes me think it would be real stable, especially in big water.
Two comfortable seats. I like to sit in a soft seat at times during the day, and feel comfort is important when trolling.
Powerful four stroke 25 horse Mercury. Add this to the sleak design and big waves should never be a problem.
Fishing with three might be a little tight, but maybe this is offset by the positives.
Anywhooo, here's a picture. Would this be a good starter boat for a relative newbie like me, or am I setting my sites too high.
