Plunker- Unlikely that it's a bad gauge. Most likely the voltage regulator. Get it checked by someone who has DVM (Digital Voltage Meter). If it's really that high you risk "cooking your battery" and potential damage to your electronic equipment/sonar, etc. Put the old garden hose on it and verify it's either the gauge or the regulator!
