Subject: Boat stereos - interference from trolling motor

I'm getting ready to install another stereo in my boat and have a question. With my old stereo, whenever I was listening to AM radio and used the trolling motor there was interference as long as the trolling motor was used.

It didn't happen listening to FM radio or cds. I wired the stereo directly to the starting battery and also wired it into an accessory switch on the console & there was interference both ways.

So is there some kind of flux capacitor or something I can install to eliminate the interference ?
